With the violent fluctuations in the market as of late, the only benefit of this economic crisis is that gas prices at the pump are going down as the price of crude drops. When the economy recovers and the price at the pump goes back up, why do Americans have to put up with this nonsense. Why do we have to be stuck between this unfair “rock and a hard place” situation. With the election and the economy, the fuel crisis has taken a distant back seat. This segment was from my TV show on the CN8 network over two years ago, before any one else in Washington or TV took up the charge. This episode was from April 28th, 2006 and nothing has change since then. I wanted to post this to remind all of you that although he matter isn’t getting press, it’s not going away. Even though we have a small temporary drop at the pump, the root of the problem still remains.
Wait a minute…what happened to the socialism talk…I thought he was for “free enterprise”…didn’t he attack Obama for being socialist, and “speading the wealth”….wealth distribution, etc. Sounds like a double standard…what about the movie theater that sells a bottle of water for $3.00 instead of the avg street price of $1.00…or sell poppopcorn that is worth $1.00 for $5.00..the same talk about the Caribou was the same talk about the Bison that was almost killed off…
Profits r good b/c it’s invested back into economy through corporate securities (stocks) of other corporations, & that $ is then used to create jobs through expansion/projects. BUT, gas prices NOW coming down per weak supply & demand. Thus, less demand means less manufacturing; less manufacturing means less jobs needed; less jobs/manufacturing means no need for industry; no industry means no economy, & no economy means economic depression, which means…you guessed it…STARVATION!
